This fall Artzzone will be hosting a very unique Story Time Hour for its guests! Every 2nd and 4th Thursday morning of the month at 10 a.m. and at 4:15 p.m. we will be reading a short children’s story and then creating a craft that relates to the subject of the book! A juice box and Dutch Kitchen cookie are included FREE for each child! It’s a great, interactive way to get your children interested in reading early on and it’s a cool after school activity for a parent and child! Stories read will generally be based on a K-4 reading level but any age child is welcome to participate as long as they are old enough to politely sit and listen to a short story. September 25th:
We will be reading my favorite children's book, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judy Barrett. We will be painting a Pea Soup Fog Soup Bowl (You will have to hear this neat story to find out what Pea Soup Fog is...Yuck!) Cost is $12 per child. Please sign up by September 19th.
October 2nd:
We will have a special storytime! We’ll be reading Fancy Nancy by Jane O’Connor. Kids will be able to get dressed up in fancy dresses, sip some fancy punch and have a special snack. For craft time, we’ll stuff a posh puppy or create a pair of bon jour butterfly wings. Cost is $15 per child. Please sign up by September 26th.
October 9th:
We will be reading, The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, and painting a cute little fingerprint caterpillar on an Apple Plate! Cost is $14 per child. Please sign up by October 3rd.
October 30th:
We will be reading the Too Many Pumpkins by Linda White and making a pumpkin mosaic wall plaque for decorative hanging or to put in the window. It can also be used as a trivet. Cost is $14 per child. Please sign up by October 24th.
November 13th:
We will be reading The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and painting a Giving Tree Handprint Keepsake Plate! Cost is $14 per child. Please sign up by November 7th.
November 20th:
We will be reading Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey and painting a turkey handprint plate! Cost is $14 per child. Please sign up by November 14th.
December 11th:
We will be reading Moosletoe by Margie Palatini and painting 2 Christmas ornaments. We’ll also make edible snowmen! Cost is $12.00 per child.
December 18th:
We will be reading, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, by Dr. Seuss and crafting a mosaic Christmas tree wall plaque for decorative hanging or to put in the window. It can also be used as a trivet. Cost is $14 per child. Please sign up by December 12th.
